Jacaranda Health's AI-enabled digital health service, PROMPTS, showcases the power of tailoring AI tools to specific African needs. With Meta's support, Jacaranda aims to expand PROMPTS to 1.3 million women across the region, using an AI tool that understands Swahili and is built on Meta's open-source Llama 2 foundation model.

Meta's commitment to open-source AI and sharing AI technologies like PyTorch and Llama large language models encourages African innovation. By making these models accessible, more Africans can adapt them to their specific needs.

Meta's initiatives, such as Boost with Meta and #SheMeansBusiness, supports small businesses and entrepreneurs in Africa, reaching millions and helping over 350,000 entrepreneurs develop their skills. Furthermore, Meta's investment in subsea and terrestrial fibre cables, like 2Africa, contributes to fast internet access and economic growth in Africa.
